This toolkit is designed to help teachers, teams and leaders plan, establish and strengthen classroom communities in which expectations are understandable, relationships are intentionally built, and learners have meaningful ways to contribute.

Its ideas are grounded in a learner-first community stance: beginning with curiosity about the learners and relationships present, rather than relying on a pre-written list of rules or ready-made values.

The toolkit supports a shift from managing a class to building a community. Clear boundaries remain important, but they become stronger when they are teachable, inclusive and connected to shared purpose, belonging, responsibility and repair.
