This toolkit is designed to help teachers, teams and school leaders strengthen learning-centred leadership across relationships, team routines, professional learning, decision-making, evidence use and change.

Its ideas are grounded in a learner-first leadership stance: beginning with the learning, belonging and participation conditions people experience, rather than measuring leadership by activity, visibility or the number of initiatives underway.

The toolkit supports a shift from managing activity to leading learning. It encourages leaders to listen before acting, build trust and clarity, align priorities, strengthen adult learning and distribute responsibility so that capacity grows across the community rather than remaining dependent on a single leader.
